The universe of a lonely child who is bored, in a place where the foregone generations have left countless traces. Old cellars, old attics, wet, enclosed yards where a vast number of objects have accumulated, forever unusable. Ribonned sofas, like honky-tonk singers, corseted armchairs, as puffed up as residents of bawdy houses. Organic plumbing, taking the shape of monstrous stomachs or intestines. Pipeworks swollen with puffinesses as in old, ill penises. The floor tiles, washed again and again, which, eaten away by time, will end up revealing, little by little, the traces of the sanies they have become impregnated with.

Concealed places, subterrains where stagnant water appears, where monstruously swollen bladders are hanging, full of unhealthy fats. Old tools, similar to forceps. Forgotten things with disquieting shapes, haunted by shameful habits.

Sickly sweet stenches from the attic: worm-eaten floors with dead dolls lying around, embalmed in their crumpled dresses. Fine insect fragments, crumbled mouse or bird skeletons … postcards with faded colors. Photos of dead and forgotten people, yellow with age. Impalpable and deadly time dust.

Un après-midi comme les autres

Places that die off slowly after their occupants have left. Walls where traces of the beings and things that once lived there can be read. Obscene and pathetic graffitis, smears revealing the ghost outlines of discarded objects, faint marks of frames and clocks which have been removed from the walls. Slight marks around the switches, on the window frames, on the door handles, left by fingers that no longer exist…
